Mile High Men’s Golf Club Meeting Minutes
Date: November 21, 2025
Present: Tim B., Terry S., Jim D., Bill L., Brian P., Tracey B., Dayton T. (Guests Brian B., Ryan P. and Dave F.)
Call To Order: Meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m. by President Brown
Previous meeting minutes were approved on line.
Membership Report: Bill L reported that the Current Membership stands at 150.
Treasurer’s Report: Dayton provided his 2026 projected budget report to the board and the 2026 budget information was approved.
Tournament Report: Tracy reported that all is going well with the exception of script carryover for members who are not available to receive it, or it remains unclaimed. Tracy will send out an email notification to the MHMGC membership. H.I.O. funding will be capped at $600, at which point a second H.I.O. fund will be started and capped at $600 as well. This is in an attempt to keep a H.I.O. fund in place at all times. Tim B. will send out an email regarding the H.I.O. fund and information regarding being respectful of the H.I.O. winner. The Player of the Year (P.O.Y) award was discussed as to whether or not to continue this award. The issue and vote were postponed until next meeting.
Handicap Committee: Terry reported that the AGA is not going to make hole by hole posting mandatory until 2028. It is, however, encouraged by the board to continue posting hole by hole as a matter of consistency among members.
Rules Committee: Brian stated that the courses are in good enough shape to play the ball “as it lies” for now. Weather conditions may create an amendment to this during upcoming events.
Old Business: Tim B. presented a final report for the Busting Cancer Tournament. The participation was up substantially and may create the possibility of utilizing both courses in the future. The total amount raised was in excess of $15,000!
New Business: Tim B. recognized two new board member prospects, Brian Bombardieri and Ryan Pienovi. The board voted unanimously to approve these two new board members. Tim B. announced the possibility of the MHMGC sponsoring a “twilight” or “Tuesday Night” nine hole league in the spring/ summer of 2026. A survey will be sent out to members to see how much interest there is.
